We are pleased to inform you that after the latest announcements of the Swiss Federal Council we have taken the decision to go ahead with the hybrid format of the CISBAT 2021. Naturally, we cannot fully exclude new restrictions by September, but we feel that these (if announced) are unlikely to influence our capacity to welcome all participants who wish to attend in person, even if they might include a certain number of sanitary measures. >> Sanitary restrictions update

When will I know?

We are now very confident that we can go ahead, but cannot completely exclude last-minute changes. Should the situation change drastically, we will be prepared. Please keep a certain flexibility in your bookings, just in case.

How would an all-virtual conference change my experience?

Whatever the case, CISBAT 2021 participants can expect a lively conference with good networking opportunities offered thanks to a professional conference platform. The infrastructure will be in place. The program might however have to be adapted slightly. Presenters will receive guidance for preparation of their presentation and live connection.

How would the change to a virtual conference affect the conference price?

Conference fees are the same for remote and on-site participation. As a fact, the high cost of the professional tools needed for a smooth online conference will not allow any reduction in price. We will do our utmost, however, to offer you an excellent experience. The evening event will be invoiced apart and only once we are sure it can take place.

And what about travel and accommodation expenses?

We advise participants to assure their bookings can be cancelled without penalties. The conference organisers can unfortunately not be held liable for possible losses.

Can I change to online participation if I cannot travel because of restrictions concerning my country of residence?

Yes, this will be possible but please let us know as soon as possible.

What are the restrictions currently valid for entry into Switzerland?

Please find all useful information on the webpage of the Swiss Federal Office of Public Health.
