The renovation rate of the Swiss building stock is below 1%. This rate is insufficient to achieve the targeted reduction of the energy demand for space heating by 64% in the Swiss Energy Strategy 2050. The introductory presentation reveals the techno-economic potential of large-scale energy retrofit in the Swiss residential building stock. In the panel discussion, we will show who is involved in the planning, decision-making and realizing of energy renovation measures and which drivers and barriers are relevant for the implementation. We invite you in the audience, together with the experts on the panel, to discuss and develop strategies to recognize the drivers and overcome the barriers.
