No specific layout is required, but please structure the abstract as detailed above; the abstract is to be copied directly into the corresponding field of the submission form (without title or authors). Only complete abstracts that are within the scope of the conference will be reviewed.

In-person Mode
Please note that CISBAT 2027 will be held exclusively in person. This format has been chosen to foster meaningful scientific exchange, encourage discussions and networking, and provide participants with a fully immersive conference experience.
REVIEW & SELECTION CRITERIA
Abstracts will be evaluated through a double-blind peer-review process by an international panel of experts. Acceptance decisions will be based on criteria including scientific quality, originality, significance, relevance to the conference topics, and clarity of presentation.
Based on the reviewers' recommendations and programme considerations, the Programming Committee will make a preliminary decision on the acceptance of each contribution and its presentation format (oral or poster). Final acceptance will be confirmed following the evaluation of the full paper, provided it meets the expected scientific and editorial standards.
FULL PAPERS
Authors of abstracts accepted by the scientific committee (oral and poster presentation) are invited to submit a full paper of up to six A4 pages.
The deadline for paper submission is 31 March 2027. Papers will be checked for language, form and content by one peer reviewer (two at least if rejection or change of presentation mode are considered), with additional verification by an Associate Editor. By default, all accepted papers - independent of their presentation mode - will be published in a CISBAT 2027 Special Issue of IOP's JOURNAL OF PHYSICS Conference Series, indexed, among other, in ISI Web of Science, Scopus and EI Compendex, subject to active conference participation of at least one of the authors, payment of the conference fee and acceptance of the terms of the Proceedings Publication Licence (CC BY). IOP Publishers reserve the right to exclude a paper if considered inappropriate of if a large part of the content has been published before. Authors can opt out of publication in Journal of Physics Conference Series, but need to submit a six-page paper nevertheless. It will then be distributed to conference participants only with a caveat that it is not to be cited and that authors retain full copyright.
PRESENTATIONS
Accepted papers will be presented on-site during oral and poster sessions. At least one author of each accepted paper must register for the conference and present the work in person.
Both oral and poster presentations are considered an integral part of the scientific programme and provide valuable opportunities for discussion, feedback and networking among participants.
Detailed presentation guidelines, including poster format, presentation duration and submission of presentation materials, will be provided to authors in due course.
CONDITIONS
By submitting a full paper the authors agree that at least one of the authors will be available to present it at the conference. They also agree that the paper can be made available as part of the proceedings on paper, electronic supports and the internet. Authors agree to a CC-BY licence agreement in which they certify among other that the paper contains their original work, and that it has not been published before. Should authors wish to renounce publication of their paper in the online Journal of Physics: Conference Series, we kindly ask them to contact us by email to cisbat@epfl.ch. The paper will then only be published in the pre-proceedings made available to conference participants only. We will be happy to answer any related questions.
Authors are requested to register for the conference when submitting the paper. The conference fee will be fully refunded should a paper be refused.
Accepted papers will be published online in a CISBAT 2027 Special Issue of IOP's JOURNAL OF PHYSICS Conference Series, an open access and widely indexed journal. Publication is targeted for November 2027 at the latest.
