How should we live together? Exploring the economic, urban and resource dimensions of sustainable living
To illuminate the interplay between technical and societal changes necessary for a sustainable energy transition, we have invited three panelists from diverse backgrounds who will share their unique perspectives with the CISBAT audience.

Sylvain Grisot is an urban planner (a circular one) and founder of dixit.net, an agency that supports territories and organizations that make the city in their ecological redirection. Consultant, speaker, teacher and researcher, he published in 2024 "Urban redirection". He is also the author of the "Manifesto for circular urbanism" (Apogée 2021), and of "Let's repair the city!" with Christine Leconte (Apogée 2022).

Julia Binder is the Director of the Center for Sustainable and Inclusive Business and a Professor of Sustainable Innovation and Business Transformation at IMD. She specializes in teaching and researching how companies align social, environmental, and economic impacts. Julia co-authored the book The Circular Business Revolution (Pearson, 2024) and co-edited Leading the Sustainable Business Transformation (Wiley, 2024). Named to the 2022 Thinkers50 Radar List, she was previously Deputy to the Vice President for Innovation at EPFL and led the school’s sustainability initiative, Tech4Impact.

Dirk E. Hebel is Professor of Sustainable Construction and the Vice-Dean for Strategic Development of the Department of Architecture at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, KIT, Germany. Before, he taught und conducted research in Ethiopia, Singapore, the USA and Switzerland. He studied Architecture at the ETH in Zürich and at Princeton University, USA. He is the author of numerous book publications, lately Building with regenerative Materials and Building sorted by type. He is co-founder and partner of 2hs Architects, practicing architecture with a focus on resource-respectful construction methods and materials. As Faculty Advisor together with Prof. Andreas Wagner, he won the the first Solar Decathlon Competition 2022 held in Germany (Wuppertal) as part of the team RoofKIT.
